That was my favorite part of "Julia," just the scenes of her writing.

Yes! Yes! That's EXACTLY how I pictured Hellman, and exactly why. God, I loved that story. Now I'm dying to see the movie again. Or read Pentimento -- I still have the same well-thumbed copy.
